It learns what kind of connection you are looking for, from a friend to a partner, then introduces you to one person at a time who wants the same thing, so a stranger can become someone you look forward to hearing from.

How it works

   Tell us who you are

   Five minutes, once. What you love talking about, how you like a conversation to feel, and what you want from the person on the other side: company, friendship, or romance.

   We introduce you

   Our matching engine reads all of it and introduces you to one person it thinks you will click with. Both of you have to say yes before anything opens.

   Talk, then decide

   Text or voice notes, at your pace. When a conversation ends you both choose whether to stay in touch. Friends keep a direct line, and a streak.

Questions people ask

Is Convo for dating?

It can be. Tell us what you are looking for: company, friends who share your interests, learning, language practice, or romance. We match you with people who want the same thing, so nobody is guessing. Romance matching is for verified adults only.

Who can join?

Anyone 13 or over. Every member confirms their age, and teens are only ever introduced to other teens or to adult mentors the Convo team has checked.

How does matching work?

Your onboarding tells us what you love talking about, how you like a conversation to feel, and what you want from a companion. Our matching engine scores every possible pair on all of it and proposes the best one. Nobody is introduced without saying yes.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Convo is free to use.

Is what I say private?

Conversations are between the two of you. Safety protections run in every conversation so nobody has to put up with abuse, and you can report or block anyone at any time. Your real name and birthdate are never shown to other members.

Can we talk on video?

Not yet. Convo is text and voice notes for now. Video is on the roadmap.
