These are the rules for using Convo, a service of Convo Sdn Bhd (Malaysia). By creating an account you agree to them and to the Community guidelines.
Who can use Convo
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You must give your real date of birth when you sign up. It is permanent and it decides which side of Convo you are on. Giving a false date of birth to reach the other side is a serious breach and ends your account.
- One account per person. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your password safe.
How you treat people
Convo exists for real one-to-one conversation. Follow the Community guidelines: be kind, respect a no, no harassment, no sexual content involving or directed at minors, no soliciting, no sharing of contact details in your profile. Breaking them can mean a warning, a block on a message, a suspension, or a permanent end to your account. Some things, such as endangering a minor, end an account immediately.
Moderation and appeals
Messages in community rooms are checked automatically. Anyone can report a conversation. We may read reported content, pause an account while we look, and act on what we find. If you think we got it wrong, appeal from the Safety page and a person will review it.
Your content
What you write is yours. You give us permission to store it, show it to the person you are talking to, scan it for safety and keep what we need for reports. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
The service
- Convo is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
- Convo connects people; we are not responsible for what another member says or does, online or offline. Use your judgement before meeting anyone in person.
- Convo is not a crisis or medical service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services.
- To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last twelve months, which today is nothing.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If we change them in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
